Endangered Plant Bloom
Magnolia sinica, an endangered plant species under the top-class state protection in China, is blooming for the first time since it was introduced into Kunming City of southwestern Yunnan Province.
The magnolia sinica tree dates back around 140 million years to the quaternary glacial period, and is one of the rarest and oldest plant species in the magnoliaceae family, with very small a number.
